There was our Kūčios (Christmas Eve) dinner. Not all the twelve traditional dishes, however: we do not need this much. In my understanding, it is like Thanksgiving, comprising all the worlds. It begins with family, nearest surroundings and extends to the earth itself. People of different beliefs and religions can feel it, if they wish to. It is the evening when I remember the generations and thousands of years beyond me on this same land. It is about how we were here and will stay here. In my family, there is no tradition of Christmas (or New Year) presents, and there was none in the village Laukminiškiai where my grandmother and mother were born. All of us being here is something to be thankful for.
Hope everyone has the festivities they personally like best in this season, as well :)

Upd. Did I ever say I celebrate Christmas?.. This was Kūčios, and one hardly congratulates someone on that occasion.
